Shahzad Anwar (Team Leader)
Shahzad possesses 18 years professional experience in project management with particular emphasis on project administration, enterprise marketing and human resource development. This includes his working at ECI (a consulting firm); Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF- an apex organization facilitating micro-finance and enterprise development in Pakistan with the support of The World Bank); Small Scale Enterprise Promotion (SSEP) programme supported by Swiss Agency for Development & Co-operation (SDC); Socio-Economic Business Consulting (Sebcon) Islamabad; and International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) supported by USAID, etc.
By virtue of his professional skills, he was involved in the development, preparation and facilitation of a number of new and innovative enterprises developments in different parts of Pakistan. His work comprises development of small scale female entrepreneurs by building their linkage with the market, arranging regional and national exhibitions, providing skills trainings, introduction of technology and providing enterprise development training for literate and non-literate entrepreneur. His contribution in the development of business development service provides (BDSPs) for small-scale entrepreneurs are also well recognized.
Shahzad holds Master in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource Management and Finance. Coming from a family that has a well reputation in metal engineering since last three generation, this added him to be known as technology wizard for small and micro enterprises. He likes to spend his pastime in experimenting new metal and wood enterprises. In addition, his interest lies in tourism and motorbike racing. Married, three kids, he lives in Rawalpindi Pakistan.
